Vegetable Glycerin would replace the alcohol for alcohol free tinctures.
Use 1 teaspoon in juice, water, or by mouth. May be taken 3 times daily. Shake well. Store in cool dark place. Keep out of reach of children.
Special Precautions & Warnings:
Do not use if have gallstones, obstruction of bile ducts, pregnant, have kidney disease, have cirrhosis of the liver, inflammatory kidney disease, have ulcerative colitis, peptic ulcer, gastro-esophogus reflux, or on blood thinning agents. Berberine stimulates the uterus. If a person has high blood pressure, watch for the highs and lows and if they occur. Excessive doses can cause dizziness and bronchial congestion. Not recommended for those with seizures. Large and frequent doses may worsen hypertension, can cause vomiting, and can irritate the gastro-intestinal tract. Do not use if diarrhea, loose stools or abdominal pain develops. Higher doses may irritate the mucus membranes. If you have kidney or irritated digestive disorders, it can cause irritation to the stomach lining and kidneys. Do not take more than suggested dosage. Not for long-term use.
